I have one and the rear defroster has never worked properly. I just gave up.Its a small car it doesnt take long for the heat to get going inside the car and defrost it. I am having to have to the top and window replaced in the rear so maybe it will start working again who knows. They are quirky cars.

Yes. My rear defroster doesn't work on my convertible either. But now I'm trying to find the name of a part I need cause I hit a dog today and luckily it only broke one piece. But nope mine doesn't work either.
