Oh yeah. When in doubt, invoke the name of Ben Franklin. It worked 3 times in a row for me on the same day. Very effective, just make sure it's more philosophical rather than "Ben Franklin said I should get 10 points for this." (It works in America because he's the oldest of the Founding Fathers, therefore the wisest of our national heroes.)
