being who you are is never a sin! Spitting in the face of God by denying who you are is.

ps.... I can't believe in this day and age that I am reading the answers that have been posted here! Has anyone ever looked into the suicide rate of gay/lesbian/bisexual youth? Is GOD so hateful that he would condemn any one of us to a life time of sin by being born the way we are born? The bible ALSO says that God made man in his own image! Are people here accusing him of having made a mistake?

Well the priest lied because he probably was trying to get into your pants but yeah to be gay is a sin and if you Bi then your half gay, which is the same as being gay. Being bi is just called the "straight" cover up.

They are born that way—just as all of us are born with a sin nature and sinful desires (Ephesians 2:1– ). Tell them that it is natural for them, and for all of us, to be tempted to do things that God says are wrong. In the same way, pedophiles and adulterers (alcoholics, drug addicts, etc.) don’t make a conscious decision to "choose" that self-destructive lifestyle, they simply give in to their sinful desires. However, although sin is natural for unbelievers, that doesn’t mean God wants them to remain that way. God can set them free from their sinful nature (Romans 7:23–8:2), give them new desires (Ephesians 4:22–24), and help them withstand temptations (1 Corinthians 10:13). See 1 Corinthians 6:9– 1 footnote.

Being a bisexual is no more a sin than being a heterosexual. Or a homosexual for that matter. Human sexuality is a spectrum, like the color band. A small number of us are at the far ends, either totally gay or totally straight. About 70% of us are somewhere in the middle area, bisexual to varying degrees. God created this spectrum and I am sure God is not going to be mad at you because you were born into it.

I think the priest answered that way because it is not sinful to "be" bisexual. However, in the eyes of some, it may be sinful to act on your urges and have a sexual relationship with a woman.... or a man outside of marriage.

The official stand of the Catholic church is that it is not a sin to be bi or gay, but it is a sin to engage in gay sex.
