No, they are a step up from outhouses and I have used plenty of public restrooms and outhouses in my many years.

Not nervous, exactly; disgusted and irritable is more like it. Why can people not throw used paper towels in the trash can? And why do some guys flush the urinal while they're peeing? WTF is the point of this? And for the love of God and all that is holy, please, please stop grunting and groaning while you're in the stall. Nobody wants to hear that. Also, what exactly are the guys doing who actually get feces on the toilet seat? Do they have some kind of auxiliary anus that I don't know about?

if they are clean, they make me HELLA nervous. It makes you wonder who would go through ALL that trouble, to make a public restroom spotless. You know you're dealing with a mental patient, and you wanna throw paper towels on the floor, or take a long dump without flushing, or throw the toilet paper roll in the garbage, to make things appear normal.

Worse, they make me sick - absolutely dread having to use one.
Maybe I was just lucky the few times I have been in Canada, but the "washrooms" seemed to be much cleaner there. I guess we're just pigs in the US.

Oh yes I will not use them ..I will hold it till I can get to someones house I know or mine 90% of the time..

i have public bathroom phobia and have suffered from this mental thing for many years now. just grosses me out and i get real freaky if it is not my own potty.

Not really, unless someone just pooped in there and made it stink up or someone peed all ovet the toilet seat and doesn't clean it up.

Yes. Imagine having to take your 3yr old in one. Poor thing ive got him soo trained not to touch anything, no walls, no doors etc.
