Daddy Freddy, a dancehall artist, held the world's record on four different occasions for his ability to spit out 507 syllables a minute. In 1992, a rapper called Tung Twista grabbed the title. He's shortened his name since then and goes by Twista.

Current record holder: JC-001, with 530 syllables a minute.

"Thousands" by Moby, at 1000 beats per minute. Personally, I don't think it should count, because it's techno.
