It dosen't hurt that bad. I got my first ear-piercing when I was 7 and I got my second ear piercing when I was 9 or 10. the second one was closer to my cartiladge and it still didn't hurt that bad. It only hurts for like no more than 5 seconds, believe me you will be fine. Just think of how totally cute you will look after you get them pierced, like all the dangling earrings, and hoops, and studs you can wear. This isn't my account, but Im 12 now,and I am getting a 3rd and 4th piercing soon. (one above my 2nd and one on the top of my cartiladge.) It is acually kinda fun because you get to pick the diffrent studs and stuff, but can I make a suggestion?.... since you are going to have these earring in for atleast a month (you can't take em' out till a certain amount of time till' your ear heals from the abrupt piercing) Get a diamond or a silver stud, it matches with ALL outfits! Hope I helped!

Even babies get there ears pierced. It feels like a little bee sting but no big deal. As soon as it's over it might not even bother you any more. Just close your eyes or focus on something around you it'll surprise you how quick it will be over and then you'll be saying is that it? That's what ive been so nervous about? By the way i wasn't calling you a baby just trying to make an example of how easy it is. Don't stress in a few weeks you'll be buying all kinds of pretty earrings.

My daughter did it at five yers old. In one of the boutique shops. The girl mark her ears with and ink pin to make sure the holes would be even. Then two ladies, one on each ear, did a three count and both did it at the same time. Her expression was like someone had slapped her, But it quickly when away when they showed her the mirror and her new earrings.
Be sure and clean them properly for several days when they are put in. Get and antiseptic or special cleaner for new earring holes.
My daughter has to use hypoalergenic posts, usually about 14 kt or better, otherwise the holes try to close and her ears try to turn green against the cheaper metals.
Good luck, and as they said in Kindergarten Cop, "Don't be such a Baby." ;-)

If you go to a professional, the piercing will probably be over before you know it...just a quick stick. You can numb the earlobes with an ice cube if you have a low pain threshold. I wouldn't recommend aspirin because it thins the blood and you might bleed a little more. Try Tylenol if it hurts afterwards. And make sure you clean your ears and rotate the earrings as instructed.
Enjoy your new pierced ears!

there isnt really a good way to handle any pain except brace! Now that you know what you're about to do it shoudn't be at all as hard for you to go through with the pain, Unless of course you think about it hard enough! You'r brain is powerful and also has enough to make anything possible that you could imagine. If you imagine the pain will hurt, your brain tells that to the rest of your body to believe and for your body to understand its command coming from its Boss! To be honest with you, its doesnt hurt... the sound of the piercing gun is what gets everyone! ...lol its a fast and quick process and may sting in the end but thats about all. Nothing major!

Well i got my ears pierced like i was 8 or 9, ( i am 13 too) well i used a jawbreaker or some sucky taffy. ( i like the taffy better) My sister piecred hers several times (she let them close back) and she says you can numb your ear with ice, eat hard gum, or if you are really senstive take the ipfouren (sp?) Most of the time the pains hurts more in the opposite dominant sided of you (if you are left hand your right ear hrts more , vice versa)
I hope yours ears dont hurt. Mines didnt
remember to clean your ears with rubbing achocal often ( like 2 times a day) to prevent ifection and closing.
Claries and Icing doesnt hurt when they piecre your ears (they have this stapler and hutts a little less than other places)
:) Dont forget to ask any girl family member with piecre ears
Yes it is lenghthy

I have a phobia of sharp objects, and I had never had any pain inflicted on me before I got my ears done, so I thought it was going to be bad, but the lady placed the needle-thing, punched it, and it just felt like a quick flick, and even asked her, "Are you done yet?" a minute afterward, after she was already finished. I seriously hadn't known she had even done it, I just thought it was the needle scraping against my skin slightly. It surprisingly wasn't bad. Since then I have pierced my own labret twice (and let it close up both times,) at home, by myself, with a safetypin and a piece of ice, and even that didn't hurt too badly. Piercings aren't nearly as bad as people try to make them out to be.

Don't worry, it probably won't hurt too much, but you can try pinching some other part of your body (your arm, your leg, belly fat if you have any). It will take your mind off of the quick pain you may or may not actually feel when your ear gets poked. This also works for needles - I use it when the dentist comes after me!!!
