They'd be in major debt. Plus does it matter if you went to a regular state school or harvard for English? Once you get your first job your degree doesn't really mean that much anymore .

Three reasons to get a degree from Harvard.
1. It reflects years of hard work on the part of the student.
2. With a degree from Harvard you have some pretty impressive connections.
3. It looks grand on your resume.
Your last sentence leads me to believe you really should not go to Harvard any way!

A degree in a Communications field, i.e. English, from Harvard? Since, your mind is already made up, just remember "Fools depise knowledge."

Harvard being Harvard, you can be sure that the professors are more thorough and precise. They're all extremely intelligent.
