For Halloween I am ordering extreme fx contacts to complement my costume. The ones i want to order are the Pinhead/Black gloss ones ( the ones which my ur eye look like a single big black dilated pupil) My question is, even though the base curve is the same as my normal contacts ( 8.6), does the diameter affect the way the lens fits?? ( my normal contacts diameter is 14.2, the diameter for these is 15.0)
Oh and if anyone has ever worn these specific lens...how is the vision through them?? is it like normal lens??...Thanks!

i had the white ones. they're really big on your eyes and it's hard to see things to the side of you. i wouldn't recommend driving in them. they're cool to look at but a pain to wear.

The lens is bigger (diameter) than the pupil which really isn't an issue. More important is that you have the right base curve. If you have a different base curve then the lens can change the shape of your iris. The pupil is fixed so your peripheral vision is limited. I certainly would not drive with fx lenses. If you've worn contacts before it will feel the same in your eye.

There are alot of websites just type in novelty contact lenses into a search engine and there should be heaps that come up. Just be careful cause I saw on the news once that someone went blind or had a very bad reaction to these types of contact lenses.

According to this site it is illegal to purchase these lenses w/o a prescription. Especially since you need corrective vision.
