I have a lego starwars II trilogy for the DS. The characters keep disappearing.?

Also, the background sometimes goes black. Am I doing something wrong? Or is the game not working right? I just bought it today.

You should have bought it for a system or the PSP.

I'm not saying I hate Nintendo, it is just Lucas Arts and the Lego gaming company made the game for the DS very, very, very glitchy. That isn't just you seeing those things, other people are experiencing those glitches too.
