Harassment by an employee of a store or restaurant?

Let's say you don't look very good. You were in a store or restaurant, and you clearly heard one of the employees talking bad about you. Could you do something? WOULD you?

Well it all depends. Mainly if I'm in a mood that day or not. Sure it would bother me any day but i might react by giving them a go to HELL look (I have a special one) or I would go tell the manager & probably get'em wrote up or I would go beyond the manager to the Company Pres. (they don't like to here anything that gives them a bad reputation!) and get them fired or if I was really, really PMS'ing I would tell them to "BITE MY A S S" (I've actually done that before). Like I said it would all depend on the degree of my mood and if it was some "skinny little rude b i t c h.." who needed to be put in her place or an arrogant prick who needed knocked down a notch. The only way I could totally ignore it is if I just came from CHURCH & still had "THE WORD" IN MY HEAD...........

Well, while this unacceptable, it is certainly not harassment.

I would call the manager of the store and explain what happened. At best they may offer you a $25 credit to their store or something .. or they may just thank you for the information, apologize, and tell you that they will take care of the situation. Other than that, there is nothing else you can do.

You can just deal with it or be a man and punch that employee in the neck and get fired.

Yes, I would do something about it. I would lose weight and buy some new clothes.

realize that the person talking bad about you is ignorant.....and you may look fantastic in someone elses eyes.........but if it continues go to your boss and disscuss it in private...or to their boss......
