from my understanding once a fever gets into the 100 degree mark you must drink plenty of water /soak your body into a tub of ice cold waterand this should drop your fever.

I agree with all above and would add.
If you can't get to the emergency room after calling ambulance but them in bathtub and pack'em in ice or give and alcohol bath (rubbing alcohol not the other) but be careful alcohol is flammable.
