If you want one with a warranty try your local aftermarket parts store or dealer. If you just want a cheap one without a warranty try a junkyard. The ECM will have a # on it, you usually need this # to get the correct one and especially so if you go to a junkyard. I was just reading some of the other responses, really no need to get so nasty and just wondering when did the 350 motor become a diesel?

Usually the best prices are remans from the big box discount auto part stores like autozone or oreiley auto parts...

There are some that are cheaper if you are willing to remove the computer and send it somewheres to be repaired, but no guarantees like the ones above in working....

Your best bet would be to hit the junkyards that stock older cars. They often have ECM's for dirt cheap if you can find one that matches your car - the downside is that you may have to do a lot of searching.

not ebay, could cause problems, and how do you know it is going to be the right one. just buy new one. I have nice cars, and bike and buy parts through dealer all the time. why? because I do. not all parts but most. and I dont make much money. I save alot of time though.

First;

Figure out what car you have,
then
Figure out what engine you have.

It is NOT a 302, nor made by GE (they make appliances!)

If it's a V-8, it will either be a 4.1L, 250 cid, or a 6.0L, 368 cid. The 5.7, 350 was a diesel.

THEN....................................
