TV Stations tend to retain their call letters more or less permanently, but may prefer to be known by the network they're affiliated with. The NBC station in Los Angeles is still, officially, KNBC, but to further emphasize their network allegiance (and to facilitate sharing news reporter footage with other NBC affiliates in other cities where NBC is on Channel 4), they call themselves "NBC4."

So KTLA Channel 5 is still KTLA, as it's been for decades, but for the purposes of "branding" they now also refer to themselves by their new network's name, "The CW," just as they were "The WB" before.

Ktla was once just called "Ktla", but now changed to KtlaThe CW
