Im a teen, but i like YA(young adult) im mature as long as the romance isnt to abd, but immature so whatever, no kiddish romance, prefer true love. Also love fantays example: harry potter!

Lord of the Rings is good. It's long, interesting, and it's a fantasy. I liked it.
Also The Last Unicorn is good (or so I've heard) my mom liked it.
Then there's MADELEINE L'ENGLE'S A Wrinkle in Time, A Wind in the Door, A Swiftly Tilting Planet...
Those are all that I can think of. Madeleine's books are more science fiction, but it sure was interesting to me, plus it does have some romance.
I would mostly suggest The Last Unicorn or Lord of the Rings. Those two are very good.

I like to be a kid sometimes and keep it simple, so unlike the other answerers I wont tell you book names just to sound smart
The Dark Tower chronicles by Stephen King are good and really get you into them
The Thief of Always is a very beautiful story that will make your heart cry, kind of like Harry Potter only darker.

My absolute favorite adventure/fantasy/romance novels are Tamora Pierce's. The Song of the Lioness series is probably the best ones to start with, and because they were written about 5 years ago, you can probably find them in your library. They chronicle the life of a young girl who wants to become a knight. If you give them a chance, I promise you'll love them!

I love to read books by Lurlene McDaniel. They are romance, and technically Christian books, but it doesn't play into the stories much. I highly suggest The Angels Trilogy, I'll Be Seeing You, and How Do I Love Thee, all by her. Some of my other favorite books are the Chronicles of Narnia (They are 'Children's books' but very deep) and The Phantom of the Opera (A romance and a gothic horror novel all in one).
