My Dr only advised me to feed prunes to my children when they were constipated. It will normally make their b.m. increase, which could cause dehydration, so be careful.

You shouldn't feed a 4-month-old baby prunes, but prune juice is okay, and yes, it will make the baby poop. I agree with the other person who answered pear juice, too,...that worked for my son.

yes it will make them poop more but be careful, too much will give them diarrhea. Just a little bit of pruune juice in apple juice and plenty of water will do the trick unless there is some sort of intestinal issue. If after 24 hours still no bowel movement, check with your pediatrician.

Prunes do help with constipation. If your baby is going regularly there is no need to feed him/her baby prunes.

A 4 month old baby shouldn't even be on solids for goodness sake, so why all you people are saying yes, God only knows! If a young baby is constipated, try mixing a small amount of fresh OJ with cooled, boiled water.
