There are 4 quarters in football
Each quarter is 15 minutes long
In the NFL, Every 2nd and 4th quarter get the 2:00 warning
In college football, they do not get the 2:00 warning
All together, the football players play for 60 minutes.

There is a timer that starts and stops during the game that measures how much time that there is to play, which is 15 minutes. But with the periods in between and the commercials there is no accurate way to measure it.
