lecture man thought id paid for assignment. i did not, i put a lot of effort into this because i HAD to pass a certain amount of modules. in the end he believed me but said i did'nt reference it correctly, so now it is classed as copy and paste. he marked it as a B+ but actually failed me. this sucks so bad, cant help crying, trying to see this as learn from my mistakes, but hard. any advice?

That's really harsh. There are appeal procedures you can go through if you feel it has been marked unfairly. If you feel this is the case then talk to your student union they should point you in the right direction.
If you really haven't referenced it properly then the best thing may be to ask your lecturer if you can find and put in all the references if you can be reassessed. That way you don't make an enemy of him and you still get the mark changed.
Unfortunately you may just have to chalk this one up to experience. Keeping you're references straight can be a skill too. If you ask you should be able to get help and advice on how to reference your work. I find using Endnote or similar program really helps. That's a program you type all your references into. It then links up to word and you can insert a reference as you write in word. At the end it will sort them all for you and format them in whatever way you want.

I think an issue has been made of your referencing has been made here. Talk to your head of department or Dean of School. If this is a first offence it is a bit harsh for incorrect referencing. Most unis go for Harvard Format APA but the essential thing is the fact you have referenced the work.
I have three degrees, two batchelors and a masters, and have used cut and paste to save time on every occasion. It was then converted to italics and put in quotation marks in its own paragraph. A footnote was then created for the reference and it was also clearly listed in the Bibliography.
Using this method there is no question about referencing.
Good luck.

I would suggest you make an appeal if it means you pass the module or if can make numbers up with later modules (dont know specifics about pass requirments) maybe you should make a point of sitting down with whoever marked your assignment and go over it so you know what is expected so dont do same in next essay. take tips about how to feference properly or within the guidelines which are set out for your coursework

If this has to be a learning experience; what have you learned. When doing research always keep a good paper trail. So that you can reconstruct your research notate, notate, notate.
Does this person have the last say in the class or is he just the person who reads the assignments? You could appeal to the professor in charge or to the dean of the department. However, the dean won't usually over ride the decision of the professor teaching the class.

rent some nice big guys to treathen your not so nice teacher to be nice to students like you. ask the guys to give him one straight punch on the stomach- that's for the tears you already shred. and act as if nothing had happened, of course the one behind the big guys is "a concern citizen" and not you.

FIGHT IT! Take it to the school board if you have to. You deserve that grade because you earned it HONESTLY. If you believe in that, you will fight it as much as you can, make a lot of noise until they try to shut you up!
