Videos start buffering, i.e., collecting data, and then the player plays what has been collected, and meantime, the buffering continues. But if the data stream does not stream the data to the buffer faster than the collected data plays out from the buffer, there is a pause, a waiting for the buffer to fill up. Make sure, for one thing, that there is no other internet traffic going on, such as downloads, when you watch a video. But in the end, there is little you can do about it, except get a faster internet connection.

Sometimes, yes. Its just a pause caused by the video being buffered, or down to a slow connection that cant keep up with the playback speed.

Yes, it is normal. However, there are ways you can optimize your PC and Internet connection so it doesn't do that.

1. Shutdown any other programs that are running. Make sure you get any applications that are running in the background.
2. Run a TCP/IP Optimizer, which will improve your Internet connection speed. Speedguide.net has a decent one.

3. Make sure you are using the latest Windows Media Player, Flash software and Quicktime.
