First it turned off and didn't turn on. After a few days it turned on, and now again it turned off. Do you have any idea what the problem coul be?
(It shouldn't be the battery because I changed it and nothing happened)

It could be due to overheating. Check that the fans are operating and that they (and your heatsinks) are free of dust. Also keep your laptop on a hard flat surface, and not on a cushion or something similar.

I think Goffik knows what he is talking about. With IBM's being VERY reliable and sturdy, they have their problems just like everyother computer. The overheating is what it sounds like to me too. Laptops are nitorious for clogging up and overheating Because there is just not enuf space and the fans are not powerfull enuf to push the dust back out. If you get it cleaned, and it keeps doing it, its either a power problem or there is something wrong with the hardware.

When you get it to turn on again Right click on the my computer icon and then click on manage that will bring up event viewer. Look in the security tab, system tab and application tab. One of them might tell you what your problem is..
