My mom is always making up excuses for my sister and I am pretty sick of it.?

My mom had my sister in her 40's, I was in my 20's when she came along, same parents. When I was growing up my parents were very hard on me. There was no excuses, we had to work for what we wanted and my parents did not play around. However my mother is always making up excuses for my sister who is now married and living in her home. She does not help my mom out at all, my mom is footing all the bills for her and then she's nasty to my mom, she also manuplicates my mom. My mother has created a monster. My sister runs all over her and I just don't get it. I think my mom needs to put her foot up her behind and tell her like it is, but she want do it. But yet she calls me to tell me all this stuff she does and then at the same time makes up excuses for her. This is not the same mother I had at all. What to do.
