This teacher that i assist for somedays, in class, she's all nice and stuff to me. Other days, she seems to find ways to piss me off. When she's alone out in the hall, she'll speak to me. But when she's with her teacher friend, she just stares at me.

Well, remember, you have your good days and bad days, and so does she. She may not mean to make you angry or peeved on those certain days, and if she does, ignore it. You will get farther in life if you just shrug it off and move on to the next obstacle.

As for the speaking in the hallway issue, she may be talking to another teacher, but just looking at her. Then again, she may not want to acknowledge you and your friendliness together.

My advice, as a teacher, would be to discuss it with her when a suitable time is right for both of you. Just ask, "Can we speak in private sometime when you have a chance?" She can say yes or no. If she says no, then let it go, but if she says yes, set up a time that is right to talk, and bring up the issue as nicely as possible. Listen to her side of the story first, and don't interject with your opinions until she is finished. Then, state your side of the issue, and don't blame her. If she says she wants to work things out, keep every possible solution in mind before you get angry or dismiss it as being stupid.

Finally, if she doesn't come to an agreement with her, ask another teacher or the principal to help you with this issue. Remember, they are there to help you, but they will help you more when you are nice to them.

Maybe she does like in a friendly way, but teachers don't really do this nowadays, and teachers are suppose to be professional. They should be nice, but not too friendly. She's just probably trying to fit in with the other teachers. If you ask me, that's kind of shallow. Don't worry about it. If she pisses you off again, then just ignore her, even when it's one of those nice days.

She's got an inferiority complex and you are the low "man" in the pecking order. She'll never be more than a teacher while you will rise like cream to the top and probably one day be her boss. Dam wouldn't that drive the old battle axe right over the edge. lol

Let me break it down....

She is obviously likes you as a person, doesn't mind talkign to you has a good time, but when she is around the other teachers her "peers" you are jsut an aid, and she feels that by treating as a lesser it makes her position amongest the other teachers mroe solidified.

She may like you as a person, but she doesn't treat or respect you like one, disregard her, she is no better than a high school girl.

Kind of wierd because normally whenever you speak to someone they should likewise speak. Some teachers or whatever they are called will act that way whenever around others.

I think she should "break her neck" trying to speak to you because students are the reason WHY she is getting a salary.

When she is with other teachers, she probably does not want them to know that she is "friendly," with you. There are a lot of "problems" these days, with students and teachers. She probably only protecting you, from the teachers "making a big deal," of her friendliness to you. Don't waste time thinking about it.

She sounds like a people pleaser to me. Maybe one of her "teacher buddies" is jealous of you or is judgin you for some reason, and maybe she is trying to fit in since they look down upon you. I wouldn't worry about it, keep your head high, you don't want friends like that anyway. Just do your job and go home nothing more or less.

No telling why. Maybe she is unaware of how she is treating you. If you feel comfortable enough maybe you could ask her. Then you will know why for sure! Good luck. Try not to let it bother you too much it is probably some issue she has .
