I have only been to 2 weddings in my 40 something years.I need to know what to wear because I have this pretty black dress with
this nice beige print flower design on it.Some people say yes others no.I am just a very good friend to her from church. Could a pant suit be alright also?

dont worry about what others say...trust your heart and go by what you like best. in my personal opnion, i dont think that a pant sut will be a good choice. wear your dress and dont worry...everyone will love it a ton!!

I just went to a family wedding and felt your dilemma. The dress you described sounds fine. I went out of my way to avoid back, but my daughter wore a black flowered pattern. She blended with the overall dress better than I. Don't worry about it. It sounds lovely. P.S. I saw pant suits at the wedding and they looked fine too, but somehow I still wouldn't wear pants.

A pants suit would be more appropriate than a black dress, even if it is not all black. Make sure the suit is a color other than red, black and definitely not white.
If you have any other dress that you really like that is not black or white, that would be appropriate as well.
I just went to my hair dressers wedding last wek, and I wore violet purple. My outfit was very pretty and appropriate, so find a color that you like that is not black and wear it well.

The dress sounds pretty. The "black at weddings" rule has long since gone the way of the dodo.

The dress hears perfect. If do,t have money to go shopping for a new dress just add cool accessories taht match with the dress in preference gold or silver should work

When given a choice, dressing a little better is always best. Black at weddings even during the day is absolutely fine...enjoy yourself!

Usually you base it on the place. If it is day it is okay to wear the pantsuit, if it is night wear the black dress.

Either would be fine. But I would suggest the dress. And don`t forget the accesories!!!
