Crying is an out pouring of emotion, be it happy or sad. When a person cries endorphins are released by your brain and for a happy or sad moment nothing else is realized because you're drugged. Like being in a protective bubble. Endorphins are like your body making morphine. So have a good cry and enjoy the high.

I guess we cry from all the relief we feel... all these emotions come to you all at once and it's a beautiful feeling to cry out of happiness. Like I've wanted this all my life and here it is so easy/I've worked so hard... it makes you breathless and speechless. Like I said it's a beautiful feeling.
Stay safe. - Maryam

I lived in Indonesia for four years and everytime there was a death...they laughed.....Nervous laughter out of fear from crying and embarrasing themselves they said......The same is done when they were happy. Didn't want to brag about their happiness and crying was a way to not do that......

Well, whatever the reason is, it has got to be the same as why I cry when I am frustrated and angry.
Oddly enough, I don't cry when I'm upset.
