Saudi is a monarchy where Christianity is against the law...

Pakistan is ruled by a military dictator that can barley control his own country...

yet these are our top to allies in the "war on terror" and we're trying to spread democracy?

Both have more 9-11 links than almost every other country... yet we're letting them "take care of the problems in their own country"... all they have to do is give us a low level terrorist every now and then and that's enough for us?

Now I'm not so much saying we should have an all out invasion... but maybe we should keep an eye on what they are doing a little more closely... seems like odd and dangerous bed fellows

I mean... the 9-11 report points huge fingers toward these guys... yet, they are our "friends"

Morey000: good point... sorry I wasn't more clear, but I was more or less talking about the "war on terror" allies... and I guess Israel supports us... but they don't seem to be very active in the "war on terror" from what I've seen

The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia is also known as Bandar Bush.

Bandar recieved that title because of his close ties to the Bush family.

Good afternoon. I am His Royal Highness Prince Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud. I serve America in the important dual role of longtime Bush family investor and official spokesman for the dictatorial Islamist monarchy that produced Osama bin Laden and fifteen of the nineteen 9/11 hijackers. As a regular overnight guest in both the White House and Bush private residences in Crawford and Kennebunkport, I take great pains to selflessly dictate the President's thinking on American policy matters large and small – and have been a particularly valuable advisor in the war against eroding petroleum profits. Today I have magnanimously consented to endure simulated questioning by infidel rabble such as yourself. Let this commence now.

Prince Bandar has formed close relationships with several American presidents, notably George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush, who gave him the affectionate nickname "Bandar Bush".[1] His friendship with Dick Cheney and his wife, Lynne Cheney, extends to the years before Cheney took office as the United States Vice President. Prince Bandar invited the Cheney family to his daughter's wedding in the 1990s, but they did not attend.

As far as Pakistan:
President Pervez Musharraf of Pakistan says the United States threatened to bomb his country back to the Stone Age after the 9/11 attacks if he did not help America's war on terror.

Musharraf says the threat was delivered by Richard Armitage, then the deputy secretary of state, to Musharraf's intelligence director, the Pakistani leader told CBS-TV's "60 Minutes."

Maybe what we should do is get our butts back into our own house and let these cretins thrash it out amongst themselves. Let them pulverize their own heads into pulp and get it over with. This whole war on terror is so totally bogus and is becoming more obvious as such every day. We are creating more problems by sticking our necks out and trying to force everybody to do what they don't want to do. Why should we even worry about it? I sure as hell don't. I don't worry about anythang. AEN

I'd say that our top ally in the middle east is Israel, which is a parliamentary democracy.

Because our current leader is a imperialistic nightmare that loves to stretch and abuse the power of the executive branch.
