2 flat sides and 4 edges, which could be considered very narrow "sides". Unless it is a round piece of paper, in which case it has two flat sides but only one edge. Or you could twist it into a mobius strip, in which case it has only 1 flat side and 1 continuous edge.

actually it has more than two sides. three dimensionally speaking it has 6 but four sides (the edges of the paper) are so thin you cant write or do anything useful with them other than cut you finger.

No... I think it has 4 sides. The parts you write (front and back) on are the faces of the object. The thin sides count as, well... sides.
