I don't know if there's really any animals that are strange in their on habitat. I think one animal, the only only there is one of it's kind, some people may find strange: the whalefin. It was either the beginning of this year, the middle of last's that a dolphin and whale mated and created the one and only whalefin. I think it was in the Pacific, but I'm not fully sure.

My vote goes to the so-called "stick lizard". It is the only desert reptile which hunts during the hot part of the day.
The stick lizard got its name because it carries a stick in its mouth. When its feet become too hot from the overheated ground, the lizard puts the stick into a prairie dog hole and then climbs up on the stick in order to cool off its feet for a while.

man. Our sex organs hang out in the open, our vital organs are exposed, we run on two legs, go to the bathroom in our own living space, eat old food that someone else has harvested, compete with each other over things that mean nothing, and sit here at our glowy boxes doing crap like this.
personally, as a pet, i think a snake or alligator would be a wierd coice.

It could be my stepfather, he is quite strange, like the missing link or something. Or it could be my uncle (he married my aunt, so no real relation to me) but you said strangest, not dumbest.

My mom and sister saw a dead kangaroo on the side of the highway once, and I saw a horned toad in the street once. These both happened in Arkansas!

A guy in Utah had a Kangaroo. It got loose up in Park City.
