I don't want to get rid of them completely, I'm just looking for a way to keep them outside. We have a shed that has hundreds of them inside and I want to keep them out of the house.

Since most ladybugs hitch rides on our clothing, then the answer would be to thoroughly brush yourself down before entering your home. But I betcha a few make it in anyway!

I think you're referring to the Asian lady beetles. They look alot like ladybugs only they bite. I had them in my house from September til April last year and now they're back again. You have to seal any little nook and cranny to keep them out of the house. That's very hard to do. They don't die quickly like flies when exposed to bug spray so that's not a very good option. I just use duct tape and stick their little corpses to it. They don't seem to be attracted to any kind of food or liquid. Today was the first day I saw them swarming outside and I already have an 8 inch piece of duct tape full of them.

Acutally they're probably Asian beetles, not ladybugs. Almost impossible to get rid of. They love the sunny side of any building.
