I think it gives them a clue as to whether they're doing something "right" or not, especially if it's a new relationship. Remember, men aren't mind-readers, and everyone's different!

I'm not even a guy and I can answer this. Yes. They like to hear enough noise to know that they are doing it right.

Yes noise is good and verbal exchange can definitely heighten the intensity of the action. Holding back can be erroneously concluded as lack of total enjoyment.

my hubby seems to th ink so. i like the noises too, but when you got kids, noises get cut off~
not fake noises, though, they want to know you are being 'for real; and not trying to be porno star on them

Duh!!! If you were with a guy and all he did was just lay there, what would YOU be thinking about the moment? How would YOU feel? If you didn't give some type of response he would probably be thinking he could be having better sex with a blow up doll (or with a hole in the wall, his hand, etc)!
