This is nothing to worry about. You will also get it when you load up yahoo mail it is just the yahoo auto refresh and it keeps the information you are seeing more up to date faster.

No it's nothing to worry about.

It happens when someone exits or enters the chat room.

this actually the auto refresh set up by the page so you can read what people are sayiny within seconds of it being entered
