I mean.. he's nowhere near as arrogant as T.O., with almost the same amount of skill, and will soon surpass it. Sure he talks trash, but he never crosses the line and other players enjoy it.. teammates and opponents alike. I think his attitude, trash talking, and celebrations add spice to the game and is very entertaining. If I recall, a sports journalist from USA Today dubbed CJ and Steve Smith the two top elite recievers in the league, and Chad refuted the title saying "he had to much to prove" and that he needed to surpass the accomplishments of past recievers. He jokes when it's time to joke, and he gets down to business when it's time to play. Sure he sometimes gets upset when he's not included in the game, but he's not perfect, but I think he's an ideal role model; opposed to some of the other players in his team. I mean you don't really get a more down to earth player than that. What's not to love??

Because people just assume he's just like T.O. because they both are in the media alot. But Chad's a good guy and he's doing it because he wants to entertain the fans. T.O. was different. He was a negative distraction. Chad and him are friends, but they are very different as football players. Chad is one of my favorite players but he does joke around too much and make guarantee's that he doesn't always come through on but it's all in good fun and it's not meant to offend or upset anyone. If anyone doesn't like Chad, oh well, ignore him. He doesn't care what you think, Chad will be Chad and he will still consistently get around 1,400 yards a season and always go to the Pro Bowl.

I think the biggest difference between Chad Johnson and Terrell Owens is that all Johnson's trash talk is directed at players on other teams, whereas Owens turns against his teammates. Carson Palmer has said that Johnson's big mouth is a blessing because it takes a lot of pressure off the other Bengals players. The media and opposing defenders are so caught up in Johnson's theatrics that they don't scrutinize the other offensive players as closely.

Couldn't agree more!I love Chad Johnson and I also think his trash talking is pretty entertaining.I mean Chad Johnson gets the job done when needed and also doesn't harm the team of the field.T.O. also gets the job done on the field but he unlike Chad causes lots of problems for his team of the field.

Sometimes I think ppl hate him because he is to good (Never hate someone because he is good) so they use his trash talking as a way to take shots at him.

He is a skilled receiver, but there is nothing entertaining about egotists who think the celebration is more important than the play. The game is the entertainment; the "celebrations" by all players are an embarrassment.

He is a great guy. The best part of him aside from the skills is that he is a TEAM player. He likes to be in the spotlight, but his numbers this year have been pretty low compared to last year, and you have not heard any whining from him. I find him very amusing. If he stays healthy he will leave TO so far in the dust as far as stats, it will be TO who???
