If you are referring to the Final Fantasy VII tech demo for PS3 that was shown at E3 2005, then realize that was just a demo; a reworking of the first scene in the game and nothing more.
Creating those graphics on the PS3 would require a minimum of three or four years of development (and that's coming from Square-Enix themselves).
If a FFVII remake is coming out for PS3, don't expect it until, say, 2009, and that's only if we're extremely lucky.

its not confirmed. an awful lot of people beleive it will. but then a lot of people also say it would be pointless. because they wouldnt change the story. itd prove once again that graphics>story in modern society.
no one knows for sure. one thing is for sure though. whichever way it goes, a lot of peopel are gonna be pissed.
