If you carry high you are having a boy, if you carry low its a girl? A friend of mine really believes in this, she carried high and had a boy and we have another friend who is carrying high and just found out its a boy. I'm 19 weeks and I seem to be carrying lower so she's convinced I'm having a girl....

It is actually backwards. It is suppose to be carrying high its a girl and carrying low its a boy. But whatever it is it is wrong. I am carrying high and it is a girl and my friend is carrying low and it is indeed a boy. But if it really is the way you say, then its wrong anyways. I thought it was right considering me and my friend and other people I know. But anyways, good luck with the baby! Old wives tales are stupid anyways.

It is totally not true , but you are having a girl. I carried my 3 girls high and my son low. If you really think about this you will realize that a boy or girl will not grow according to their sex in a higher or lower position.They are the same besides one has a penis!!! Every woman carries differently because of body type.

Well, back when I was pregnant the first time, the understanding was that if you're carrying high and "in front" you will give birth to a girl. If you carry low and "across your body" you will give birth to a boy.
Both of my daughters were "up high and in front" pregnancies.
Regional differences? Or just the message getting garbled the more times it's passed on?
As to the wedding ring on a hair...it's supposed to be a pin on a thread. And if it swings in a circle it's a girl, and if it goes back and forth in a straight line (no matter which direction), it's a boy.

It is a myth. Babies bodies are built the same except for the determining organs :) You have a 50/50 chance.
Same with the heart rate theory. The thought is that high heart rates are girls and low are boys. I had a steady 160 beat boy and a 135-140 girl.
You'll love them no matter what and the surprise is so worth it. Congrats!

Old wives tale !!! Everyone carries differently just as each pregnancy a woman has is different in some way.

It's an old wives tale. I've also heard people say the exact opposite, girls are carried higher, because they are closer to your heart and boys are lower.

My friend said that girls have a faster heart beat than boys. Girls heart rate is over 140 beats. He said that the way you carry a baby is how you are shaped, but 19 weeks is to early. Ultra sounds are the best source but not always correct.

it's an old wives tale...i am carrying low and I'm having a boy. and i carried low when i was pregnant with my daughter. it all just depends on your body

IDK..according to that method I am having a boy lol according to the other wives tale where you take a ring and tie it too a string and have someone hold it over your belly..if it spins in circles its a girl and if it moves back and forth its a boy.....I am having a girl lol...AHHH...IDK what im having....o good lord what if its both :0
