Are there any girls that actually like underwear as a gift?
If so when is it a good / not a good gift? Better for younger women or more mature? Is it worth all the money that it can cost? Would you be offended if the wrong size is bought?

Underwear- an extremely personal gift. If you are not intimately involved w/ the person, don't go there. You can't just buy any underwear as most women are very particular. You would have to know their brand, their style, their colors and even fabric choice. You would only get this information if you were intimately involved w/ the person, otherwise you would be buying underwear for a stranger which would be in very bad taste and quite embarassing for both of you. Stick w/ her favorite fragrance, you'll be safer.

Make sure you dont buy tacky underwear. If you want to then pinks/neutrals/purples (girly colours) would be best. Look at what underwear your girlfriend has, notice the shape of the cup, whether it is underwired and THE SIZE!!!!
Girls will really appreciate it if you have spend time to make sure it is a present they would want. Underwear as a present gets a bad rep because men buy what they want to see her in.
If you want your gf to wear racier underwear then buy it together, so she can get something you will like and she will feel comfortable in.
BTW - If you go too big then she will think you think she is fat, too small she will think you want her to be smaller! Women eh!
Your gf is lucky having a bf that wants to take time to get her gift right.

make sure it's someone u know well i think younger women would be the best idea between 18 @ 40 ask one of their good female friends or maybe a sister about sizes I'm 29 and love to get panties as a gift try Victoria secret you can by them online and never leave home.May not be the best gift for a plus size person .Before i lost wait i think it would have hurt my feelings.Good luck !

Unless it is SEXY, and your in a good relationship (you definitely know her size) stay clear of buying any woman underwear! Maybe a gift certificate to Victoria's Secret would be a better gift for any adult female.

Yep, i luv to receive underwear. The sexier the better. Dont think age has anything to do with receiving underwear. Good idea is to keep the receipt so if it is the wrong size u can change it, altho might be a good idea if u found out her size first...;)

This is a personal preference question. My boyfriend buys me underwear. I like it. If a friend bought me underwear, I wouldn't mind. I'm not modest. Wrong sizes happen. I am pretty forgiving, it's not that big of a deal. It really depends on what the receiver feels though. How modest is she/he? Does she/he embarass easily? Let that be your answer.

Yeah, lingerie is always fun...But this reminds me of a funny thing that happened to me this past summer. My Hubby and I went to Kentucky to visit his great-grandmother. Now, she is 87 years old, and completely with it upstairs. While we were there she went into her bedroom, and started digging around in her underwear drawer. She comes out in the hall, and presents me with these 2 pairs of granny panties! I was so embarrassed! My Hubby just started laughing and then turned to walk away. Did she actually think I would wear them? She said they were too small for her, and that she had bought 3, but had not tried on these 2, so she thought I could use them...am I the only person that this kind of stuff happens to? LOL

Victoria Secret does have some tasteful underwear. You coud get bikini style which isn't too racy but isn't your grandma's underwear either. They have cute prints and solid colors. I think you should give it as a gift to a close friend or someone who wouldn't get offended. You can tell who is that way and who isn't.

underwear for women is fine but instead if you want her to have underwear for a gift and you arent sure of the size buy her a gift card from victoria's secret or similar store and let her pick her own

As long as neither of you is too shy, why not go shopping together and she can try lingerie on. The better department stores have changing rooms, with chairs and magazines outside for the chaps. Select items you both like, she tries them on, when she's ready for inspection, you peek behind the curtains. That way you get something you both like and the right size.
The problem with that is if price is an issue, she could fall in love with something too expensive.
