I know they are a tropical plant, but they were given to me and I would like to see them thrive. I live in the catskill mnts and i know weather plays alot, but I need help!!

I'm from florida and have palms but originaly from Dutchess county. Your going to have trouble this winter. They like 80 degree weather and high humidity. I would say put them in the bathroom if possible and keep them warm and in a window for sunlight. My palms seem to go dormant when temp falls below 75 and they also show little signs of growth when it is not humid. Unfortunatley the climate they like is so unbarable, hot and humid
