R.J. Reynolds, maker of GPC cigarettes, is in the middle of a company-wide shortage. Although this article (http://journalnow.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=WSJ/MGArticle/WSJ_BasicArticle&c=MGArticle&cid=1149190862646) doesn't specify the GPC brand, I assume it applies to that brand as well.
I manage a convenience store and nearly all GPC packages I've ordered have been listed as "manufacturer out of stock" by our distributor for a few weeks now. I researched the question myself a week or so ago and found the above link to be the only answer I could find.

Thats because GPC means Gross Pack of Cigarettes. Just Kidding.. Really I don't know though

they are still around, maybe the store manager is mistaken, or they chose not to order them for their store.......check out other stores and i am sure you can find them...i live near san francisco, and they are around here..........
