They don't want to face the fact that they may have to make that decision, so they pass judgment. I have a favorite quote from an unknown author:
"Those who matter do not judge; those who judge do not matter".
You are doing what is best for both of you...it's no one's business. It could not have been an easy decision for you to make. Blessings to you.

I think the stress one has taking care of a spouse is tremendous. I realized this after my father in law passed on and we tried to care for my mother in law (Alzheimer's), after one week with her, a two year old and a baby my wife was a wreck. We found a care facility, I think my father in law was hiding from us how serious things were when we visited . And if he had put her in a home he might have lived longer.

No, I don't think it is fair, and someone should never be judged for putting someone they love in a caring home. It is a decision that is made only with a lot of pain and agony. If you have made this decision yourself, trust your decision. I do not judge you. Only you know what's best for the both of you.

DONT take any notice of what people have to say THEY do not know what it is like to look after someone 24/7, sometimes it is for the best & only YOU know that not them, you have to be cruel to be kind sometimes, & it can hurt you more than them, SO ignore the onlookers & do what only YOU know is for the best, good luck,

Parents need us to care for them. THey took care of us.

When we marry we take a vow "til death do us part, THrough sickness and in health" there is no room for a care home. Our home has to do the caring!!!!!!!!!
