That is not appropriate for a 5yr old at all all your girlfriend is doing is teaching the child how to stay up late she should be ashamed of herself.
Then the the child can always say to your girlfriend if she doesn't let he/she stay up you let me do it the other night. That's why it's a thing called discipline something not to be broken or they will get the habit of it.Seems like you and your girlfriend need a serious talk.

No, not unless you live in Spain. I think 5 year old should be in bed by 8, even on a non-school night, mainly because they are happiest and easiest to handle when on a regular schedule. In other words, they should go to bed at more or less the same time every night and anything later than 8 or 8:30 is too much for a 5 yr old to handle.

Hell no, at 5 he/she should be in bed by half six, maybe seven because it's the weekend. I bet her kid is poorly behaved, that's what happens when they don't get enough sleep. I have 2 by the way, 6 & 8, they go to bed at half six and half seven every night. Everyone think i'm mean, but my kids don't have bags under their eyes, are well mannered and do well in school, sleep is the key.

I used to take my son to the drive-in when he was small, but not to the movie theater. For a kid movie I would only take him to a matinee but mostly because it's cheaper.

A small child can create a distraction for the audience and I've seen people take little ones to movies they should never be exposed to.

As long as it wasn't a school night and the movie is age appropriate.

no she shouldn't, because the child is only five years old and needs sleep and plenty of rest. Talk with your girlfriend about responsibilities as a parent.
