Astros have always been a streaky team, their only 3 games above 500. There is no stronger team in the National league than the Mets. With or without Pedro Martinez. The American League has all the good teams. cee-ya.

if there so good, why did the White Sox sweep them last year in the World Series? Astros dont even deserve a playoff berth, no one from the central desereves Cards are easily the best team in that division, even they havent been good this year despite still being in first place which really shows how crappy the rest of the central is.

Remeber they got good pitching for the post season in Oswalt, Pettitte, and Clemens. Plus Berkmans having a huge season with contributions from Huff and Lamb. But still, there bullpin been gooding with the exception of Lidge and there still are a lot of guys on that team batting less than .250 for the season. I dont know, the mets lineup looks good enough to challenge the bullpin and there pitching to overpower the stros lineup. Sorry bout peeing on your party but I just dont see them going all the way. Great story though. :)

Slow down! If they run the table this weekend they'll get to 84 wins. Not exactly a juggernaut. I'll give you that they'll be a tough out in the post season with their pitching but they have to get there first. If they won the WS I don't know if they would set the record for the poorest regular season record but its got to be up there.

Astros are Texas sized crap, they deserve big fat Texas sized Roger Clemens.
I believe they are 1.5 games behind as of this writing.
