He may have a blocked tear duct or an infection in his lil eye. A blocked tear duct will usually resolve on it's own after a diagnosis from his Dr. but an eye infection would most likely need antibiotics. It is also possible that he has a cold in his eye.

Sounds like it could be conjuctivitis. Need to see Doctor and get drops for it. Be really careful as it is very contagious. Wash your hands really well and try not to touch your own eyes.
Before you have the chance to get to the Doctor just wipe his eyes with cotton balls soaked with lightly salted water. Just wipe once from inside to out and then throw cotton ball away.
If it doesnt come back after doing this then you may be ok.

If the liquid is clear, he could have a blocked tear duct. Surgery is usually not used to clear up the duct, until ample time has been given for the duct to open on its own. My daughter had a blocked tear duct, and it took 9 months for it to open on its own, but it did. Wipe it with a clean, warm tissue to keep it clean (gently). If the liquid is green, infection could be present, and should be seen by a doctor.

It sounds like he has a plugged tear duct. Massage the corner of his eye with a warm, wet washcloth until you can't see anymore drainage. Repeat this a couple of times a day until it clears up. Good luck!

Depends what color the mucus is...white/yellow, sticky, slimy then sinus/allergies...possibly mold, dust, pet dander? If it is green and thick, he has an eye virus...either case, take him to the doctor to have this checked out.
