when i go to click on a requested search from yahoo i get brought to another search engine not yahoo,s search engine tho does any1 know what is wrong and how can i resolve this

Its not you. It's yahoo. They merged their search engine with altavista. Now, when searching in altavista, sometimes you end up in yahoo, and vice versa.

Sounds like spyware, try running the Norton spyware scan on the Yahoo tool bar.

Easy way to check is to click on Control Panel, click Internet options. The general tab should be first up and at the top it will have the address of the home page there.

you are being redirected...

got to control panel, add or remove programs
and search for something that you did not intentionally install or something that looks suspicious such as "webblah toolbar" or something similar and remove it

Virus... spyware... you name it!

Install and run anti-virus and anti-spyware program to see if this is the problem.
