I have a 99 Chevy S10 and i have little stress fracture cracks in the rotors...when should i change them or is it ok to drive with these on there...?

If they have cracks in them, they should be replaced now!!
It should not be that expensive to replace them, it will cost a lot more if a rotor fails.
As to the person who said it would cost over $2000, please let my shop do your next $2000 brake/ rotor replacement. We need a bonus!!!

i own a repair shop,,and actually they need to be changed now,they can break and come apart on it if they get hot,,and it is dangerous to drive like that,,i have seen them fly apart on a vehicle before ,,they do a lot of damage to a lot of good parts when they do,,plus may cause you to have an accident,,id get them changed real soon just to be safe,,good luck i hope this help,s.

Please do not drive your vehicle again until you have replaced the rotors. It is very dangerous to drive with rotors in that condition.

I would keep on driving until they cause a noticeable problem like a pulsation in the pedal or noise. It,s normal to see those crack,s and if it is not causing any noticeable problems I would wait until it did.

When they are worn beyond min thickness, warped, or cracked...change them.

YES....NOW. Don't drive with cracks...very, very bad. Only drive on them when you absolutely have to....get them fixed VERY soon. Good luck.

They must be be measured for thickness & most of them have the minuim stamped on them.

i would sell the car get a new car. the change will cost over $2000 plus labor and taxes i wold buy a second hand car or a brand new on
