You might have the script error problems,before you open the email program Pl do sign into it. and than open the email.Or scan your email with a anti virus software program.You have not mentioned,wither you are using a Yahoo web mail,out look express or Microsoft express?If it's an Yahoo program, configure your yahoo email for outlook express or Microsoft express as a default email program.

Come back and tell us what mail server you are using. In the meantime do some maintenance on your machine. That is, clean up your cashe, Internet files, cookies and history, then do a check disk and a defrag, then restart your machine and go back to your e-mail to see if the problem is solved
