I feel myself being with all my senses in the universe of my experiencing. I feel inspired. I feel unshakably calm I feel one with every living thing. Much more,but it's hard to put words on experiences that aren't made up of words.

meditation is a state of being like just sitting and hearing everthing around you bt you dont care its your brain wanting to relax now if you want to sit in a fixed postion and call it that and it works cool but we all do it naturally its called daydreaming

honestly i try to think of nothing, other than that why meditate, when I meditate I think of only quiet peace and no responsibility

You're supposed to empty your mind of any thoughts. This is difficult at first and your mind will rebel. But when you're still in a quiet, dim room and can learn to do this, then visions or serenity will enter your mind, giving you peace and strength and often insight.

Some peace but it is often punctuated by fear for all of my children. I am a teacher and I am scared that the Islamofascists will someday come to our shores and someone that I have taught will die.

meditation is an absence of mental activity...describtion of feelings comes from mental activity, otherwise you may not 'know".But that which you "know" is not nesesarily to be true...mind is guessing, not ultimately knows.
