Dogs that don't shed (much) include Airedale Terriers, Cockapoos, Italian Greyhounds, and Miniature Poodles.
Or how about seahorses?

I agree with la dolce vita. Boyfriends would make good pets for ladies.
No one is really allergic to fur. It's the dander, the skin flaking off as dandruff for an animal, that causes the allergies.
Long -- haired cats shed clumps of fur, but very little dander. I am allergic to short--haired cats, but not to longhairs.
Then, of course, you could get a snake. Snakes are movers, who feed on live prey, and molt their skin once in a while. They are fascinating creatures, which I all learned from a bellydancer named Mesmera, who dances with snakes sometimes in her routines.
Go to >www.mesmera.com<
and order "Dance of the Serpent".
How can anyone be afraid of a turtle? Never heard of that one. Tortophobia?

There are some hypoallergenic cats (cats that don't cause allergic reactions). Unfortunately, they are expensive, about $3000, and there is a wait-list.

vegetarians that have pets are people who are liable to lie to themselves. Holding an animal hostage for your amusment, isn't that almost as bad as slaughtering a fat juicy cow to use it for food and leather?
I know it's a harsh opinion, sorry.

A rabbit. If it gets on your nerves, you can always have it for dinner.
