For mine I'm going to have a musician friend play:
Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life) by Green Day
Another turning point - a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist - directs you where to go
So make the best of this test and don't ask why
It's not a question but a lesson learned in time
It's something unpredictable but in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life
So take the photographs and still frames in your mind
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial
For what it's worth it was worth all the while
It's something unpredictable but in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life
It's something unpredictable but in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life
It's something unpredictable but in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life
(You can't beat this one folks)

I wouldn't like to choose any songs, because any time they were heard afterwards it would bring memories of a funeral, and if I was missed it would make the people listening to them sad again. Imagine hearing 'Time To Say Goodbye'. No, I think I would prefer sacred music.
I often joked that they could have a recording of Josef Locke singing 'Blaze Away' if I were being cremated...it goes..
We'll make a bonfire of our troubles and we'll watch them blaze away,
And when they've all gone up in smoke clouds,
We'll never worry should they come another day,
And as the bonfire keeps on burning happy days will be returning,
While the band is playing,
We'll let our troubles blaze away.....................Ta Daaaa

don't know you and know one else can tell you what to have played as they don't know you either, don't mean to be disrespectfull or anything, but thats your choice before you go, and also your family that you leave behind, thats the bottom line of it basically, thats something you all have to sort out between you at some stage before that day comes, I know with my parents what there wishes are, and please god that won't before a while, but all the same I know as the eldest inthe family what to do if that day ever came.xxx, God Bless.

"Ding-Dong the Witch is Dead" from the Wizard of Oz. That will confuse everyone.
But the most popular is "Stairway to Heaven".
I'm picking "Bittersweet Symphony", so that's taken okay?

If its a cremation, ask for the hymn 'We plough the fields and scatter'.
It doesn't really matter, you aren't going to hear the music anyway.
