For a lot of unimportant day-to-day stuff, it takes more effort than it is worth to take the challenging way.
For the important stuff, though, the challenging way is the best way in the long run.

i would love to be challenged since that is what i do best: live each day with as many challenges thrown my way. taking the easy way out shows that you are not a powerful person and that whatever life throws at you you will find the easy way out, you will not use your brain or do not want to and you do not want to be better and push yourself to be the best that you can be. i think that challenging one's self everyday shows a great deal of potential to others, while making you push yourself to be a better person and to learn something new and to never stop learning: that is what philosophers did.they opened they mind to many ideas and challenges, and through a challenge you become a better and wiser person, you learn from your mistakes and in the end you showed a lot of wisdom. challenges are patience, part concentration, part spontaneous, and part thinking. i believe that a challenge opens your eyes to many ideas....

Always be challenged. When a muscle is not used for an extended period of time atrophy occurs and the muscle become much weaker. Conversely, when we push and pull against resistance our muscles grow stronger. Much like our muscles, the rest of us: our intellect, our spirituality, our work ethic, etc... all react the same way. By always looking for and conquering challenges you can build character self esteem strength. If we always look for the easy way out, we deteriorate to a useless fulfilling and unproductive life.

Absolutely challenged! Think about the events that really stand out in your life. The happy fun times are there and enjoyable, but it's the challenging, or thoughtless things as a child, that you remember vividly and feel deeply! These are the events that shape you as a person, and what would you be without them?!

A type personalities tend to challenge themselves constantly. I think a balance of challenge, and ease with down time is important for good mental and physical health.

It would depend on how I'm feeling. Generally I prefer a challenge, but if I'm really tired, I think I would like an easy way out.
It would also depend on whether the outcome was important or not.
