I am going by a 2004 Time, which showed that the highest % of likely Republican voters were those who had not graduated high school(69.9%). The second highest were among those with MBAs (63%--Interesting). Dems scored above 50% in all other categories--70%s among Ph.Ds.

When Republicans talk about the Liberal Elite, what they are really doing is attacking intellectuals. Intellectuals tend to be Liberal, so bashing them appeals to the under-educated.
That being said, I've seen recent studies that disagree with this one. Democrats gain the most ground with those who have higher degrees, while Republicans have a slight lead in those with some college education.

simple. most of these dropouts come from texas or bush land. texans are some of dumbest people in the world. they rank almost dead last in educational states test scores. there is a long line of dumb republicans. texas has created geniuses like bush, anna nicole smith and jessica simpson. go to texas and you'll see plenty white trash republicans.

Yes, there are a lot of rednecks who are republican. but, im NOT liberal (wouldnt really call myself republican though, because im pro-choice and in no way religious, so, whatever) and im smart. my mother, step dad, and uncle have M.D.'s and D.D.S.'s and are republican.
