Because most women don't want to be a part of an industry which exploits women and children and increases and normalizes sexual violence and perversion. There are many pornographic websites and magazines where women are portrayed as enjoying the pain, hurt, rape, S&M, B&D and humiliation they are experiencing at the hands of men. This objectification eventually ventures from the "harmless personal computer virtual images" to manifest itself onto the bodies of real women by real men. Pretty soon, these men lose their desire for real women, or worse, these men begin to mimic the perverted behavior they have seen demonstrated on the computer screen. The porn becomes an addiction and before they know it, these men will need more and more perverted sex to get them off and may even resort to bestiality and child porn. Most women know that porn is a poor substitute for the real thing, and most of them don't like it because they know that sooner or later, they will be affected in some adverse way, either directly or indirectly.

Maybe shyness, Jealousy of the way men veiw it. Most women it's intamacy, a look of true passion. Not just a piece, or just sex. Most men really don't need a woman when they have porn. However women it's kinda like foreplay. When watching w/ or without a man it's mostly the way a man reacts to whats on. Plus most porn is just nasty. Meaning there's no feeling or emotion it's just "doing it". Plus a lot of women have a hard time letting their freaky side out for fear of being judged. Men are expected to be like that. It may be just that you don't see her or them watch it. Anyway it's not that big of deal to us. We like the real thing.

Women are much more into the romantic and emotional aspects of sex than guys. The idea of watching the mechanics of sex isn't as appealing to a woman as the idea of understanding the desire. To support my point, I point to the female's equivalent of porn: the romance novel! They contain a lot of sexually explicit scenes, but the romance, the building desire - that's what turns a woman on!
(It works in real life encounters, too. You're more likely to get a woman into "the mood" through romantic overtures and emotional stimulation, than simply showing up naked. For a guy, the opposite is true, as you well know.)

I wouldn't say women don't like looking at porn... my boyfriend and I watch porn... of course, I only watch it because I find it hilarious... I guess it just depends upon the woman. Women are not as visually stimulated as guys, so that's probably why guys like it more.

Hellll if i know i have no problem watching porn with or without my man i actually find them funny they don't bother me at all. i get some of my moves from porn and i like da dudes money shots at the end and when i'm wit my man yeah they turn me on sometimes but i see nothing at all wrong with porn and to tell da truth a lot more women watch porn then expected they jus dont let every one know every women has some kind of collection believe me....

I think, like any sexual activity, it is really a personality-based thing. There are women who LOVE porn, and those who abhor it. Also, there's the social stigma involved (women are still socially-censured and controlled - regardless of what women's libbers will say! - to behave in a "feminine" fashion), and watching people have wild monkey-sex isn't socially acceptable.
Finally, you're correct - women ARE capable of visual stimulation; however they're more cerebral. Hand a woman a book of erotica and watch her go!

Some of us do like porn, but we tend to prefer a bit more of a storyline. Most porn is really tacky. We like quality!

i hate that my boyfriend watches it, and it hate it altogether because it makes me feel bad about myself and how i look. I am in shape, have a decent body but, i can't help but feel terribly ugly compared to all of the porn stars. it made me so self conscious at the time that I developed an eating disorder and continue to struggle with my body image and I excessively exercise so that I can look perfect like all of the girls that turn my boyfriend on. i don't think my body even turns him on any more because i'm not as hot as those girls he needs to look at

Girls have a different testosterone level then guys. Guys are have a much higher testosterone level causing them to become 'horny'. Girls are much lower therefore craving less sexual desires. Men watch porn to relieve sexual temptations.

Because women are the ones who get pregnant, the cost of getting pregnant is much higher for them (I don't mean monetarily - I mean in terms of a nine-months committment). Therefore, they need to guard they're sexuality much more closely than men do. Sex to them is a very valuable commodity, so seeing it used openly as in porn is very distasteful. Also, allowing themselves to be seen as purely sexual objects reduces their worth as partners and as potential mates.
Plus, chicks in porn are usually pretty hot.
