Breastfeeding is a very natural thing and you should be glad that she wants to breastfeed your child. There are many advantages to breastfeeding and you should support her decision. Being a breastfeeder is hard and I hope that she carries through with her desire. I breastfed my son and I am currently breastfeeding my 7 month old daughter. What you need to realize is when she is breastfeeding she can't just get up and do other things. She has to sit with the baby for at least 30-40 mins 15-20 mins each breast and doing that every 2-3 hours gets tiring and she will need help and support from you.
I would also like to add that you should ask her and find out from her why she wants to breastfeed. We don't know your wife and really can answer for her.

Breastfeeding is a bond between the mother and the child. If a child is breastfeed then he or she will not get as many ear infections and wont be as sick as most kids. I breastfeed our daughter and she never had any ear infections or colds. She did get minor things but that was about it. Hope it helps.

First of all it is a maternal instinct for your wife to want to feed and bond with the baby. Also breast milk is best and has alot of beneficial things for the baby's health and wellness. Plus have you seen the cost of formula. Encourage your wife to do what she feels is right and what is comfortable for her. Good Luck!

if your wife wants to breast feed let her it makes the baby healthy, keeps the baby from infections, and it suppose to make your baby smarter(do to study) and the best thing of all it helps the mom lose weight faster. if you want to feed the baby sometimes ask your wife to pump the milk so you can feed the baby too. but i recommend breast milk. i breast fed my baby for 3 months and she never really sick. or you guys could do both breast feed and bottle feed. after the 3 months of breastfeeding my baby i put her on the bottle

Breastmilk has the best nutritional value for a baby, it creates great bonding between mother and baby, it saves money because you don't have to buy formula, it helps release pain in the mothers breasts, saves on bottles and time, etc!

To give your child the healthiest thing she possibly could.....To ensure she can feed the baby without worry of the ridiculous formula prices....to bond with a child like a mother should be able to....She wants to use what she is blessed with...I commend her. Best wishes to your family in your future :)

it gives you great sense of achievement when the baby is gaining weight and thriving with your wife knowing that its down to her. i felt very proud of myself when i breastfed and it is so much better for the baby and cheaper, no bottles to wash or sterilise it will probably save yourself some time as naturally you would be doing these jobs while your wife was resting.

IT'S BETTER FOR THE BABY. HER MILK WILL BUILD A BETTER IMMUNE SYSTEM FOR THE BABY, IT'S COMPLETELY NATURAL FOR A MOTHER TO DO IT. IT ALSO HELPS HER UTERUS GO BACK TO IT'S NORMAL SIZE. ALL MOTHERS SHOULD DO IT, IF YOU GET KIND OF JEALOUS GET A BREAST PUMP AND PUMP SOME MILK OUT AND PUT IT IN A BOTTLE AND THEN YOU COULD FEED THE BABY.
