Unconditional love, without love being unconditional there is nothing to understand. To have perfect understanding of something or someone unconditional love would have to be involved. One can't function without the other. I would definitely choose unconditional love.

Unconditional love! Perfect understanding may mean I'm understood but not necessarily loved. Unconditional love means I'm loved no matter what. Good question!

You can't have unconditional love without perfect understanding. Without complete understanding, the love is conditionally bound by ignorance of who you truly are.
I'd choose unconditional love because it means I can have both. Perfect understanding can still lead to rejection.
